About these ghosts patterns

A ghost is the easiest shape in the spooky canon to stitch well: a soft outline, two eyes, and a pale body that glows against dark fabric with no shading tricks at all. On black aida a white ghost reads as light, which is the whole effect.

These are drawn in pale mint, ice blue and ivory with a luminous rim and touches of lantern amber — little ghosts holding hands, a ghost cat on a fence, a ghost reading in an armchair, ghosts drifting through a graveyard gate. Friendly rather than frightening, and most of them are quick evening pieces.

Yes. Every chart in this collection is whole cross stitch only — no backstitch, no quarter or three-quarter stitches and no french knots. If you can sew one X over one square of aida you can finish any of them. Every chart is 130 stitches square, finishing at about 9¼ inches on 14-count aida; what varies between them is the number of floss colours.
