About these tarot patterns
A tarot card is already a cross stitch pattern waiting to happen: a bordered rectangle, a symmetrical figure, flat colour and a heavy outline. These are drawn in that spirit rather than copied — the Moon with its two towers, the Tower struck by lightning, Death with a banner, the four aces.
Gold, ochre and wine red against black, because that is where this imagery comes from and where it still looks best. Each one is centred and framed so it hangs as a single piece, or stitch several and run them as a set.
